Professional Description

• Performs and is responsible for all of the bookkeeping and accounting functions of the corporation thru trial balance - including all financial reporting to the CEO.  Also prepares and is responsible for Employee Expense Accounts and implements all New Hire and Health Insurance forms and procedures.

• Other responsibilities include the coordination of 401-K Accounts, Purchasing and keeping track of office supplies, as well as handling some Payroll and Human Resource duties.

Education and Employment Background

Born, raised, and educated in Methuen, MA, she is a graduate of Tenney Memorial High School.  Taking classes in Accounting and Gourmet Cooking after high school, she worked her way up in Accounting at various types of businesses.  In between these ventures she dabbled in Jewelry Sales, as well as working as a breakfast grill cook in the food industry with the idea of maybe one day opening her own breakfast diner.  She also holds a Bartender’s License from Boston Bartenders School of America.

Honors and Awards

• Honored by Windham, NH School System for her volunteer work in a variety of activities

• Inducted into the House of the Samurai Doshi Kai Honor Society in Londonderry, NH in 1990 and remained a member throughout her training.

Achievements

• She married her husband, Don, 30 years ago in 1977.  While she was a “stay-at-home” mom raising two bright and successful children (Richard, now age 27 and Tammy, 25) she did volunteer work for the Windham School System from 1988 thru 1994.

• While a member of the House of the Samurai she earned the rank of Nidan in both GoJu Ryu and Chubukan Shorin-Ryu Karate Do before retiring from the field of martial arts in 1996.

Activities

• Did volunteer work for Windham School System from 1988 thru 1994.

• Trained in Martial Arts and instructed numerous classes from 1989 thru 1996

• Chaperoned all SHS Band trips from 1995 thru 2001, which included the 1997 Fiesta Bowl Parade in Phoenix, AZ and the 2001 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA as well as helping the band with various types of other activities and fundraisers such as chairing a “Cow Drop” and co-chairing a “Go-cart Raffle.”

• Committee member of the 25^th and 35^th Tenney Memorial High School reunions for the classes of 1971 and 1970/71

Additional information

Sandy has been a dedicated member of the Interate staff for over five years now, and has continually taken on additional responsibilities.  Her strong attention to detail makes her position in this highly regulated and scrutinized industry a perfect fit.  She really enjoys working in the mortgage industry because it affords her the opportunity to learn and grow with the business.
